Faith Community Fellowship www.fcffamily.com on Hwy 11 in Trussville, Al is collecting plastic storage bins and heavy duty garbage bags to help with collecting and storing belongings before the rain later in the week! This is a very important need!!
The main coordination center will be at NorthPark Baptist Church, 5700 Deerfoot Parkway, Trussville , AL 205-228-0030. They are collecting water, snacks, and working with other agencies to assist families. If you know of people who need assistance, refer them to NorthPark. If you know of people who want to volunteer, tell them to go to NorthPark at 8:00 a.m. They will organize and send out crews from there.
Deerfoot Animal Clinic is ACCEPTING DOG AND CAT FOOD DONATIONS ALONG WITH OTHER PET SUPPLIES TO DISTRIBUTE TO FAMILIES AND THE HUMANE SOCIETY. As you know Parkway Animal Clinic was destroyed. You can bring all supplies to us Mon-Fri 7am-6pm and Sat 7am-Noon. The Greater Birmingham Humane Society is working with the Red Cross to provide temporary foster solutions for pets of those who have lost their homes as a result of last nights storms. If you live in an affected area and need a safe place for your pet please call 205-397-8533.
